Joshua Burke

With the attention span of a hunting dog in a squirrel park, Joshua Burke is on a never-ending journey to discover ancient and modern practices to improve mental health. Dedicating his life in service to others, Joshua is a people developer who constantly advocates for the well-being of his team, colleagues, and clients. He works with business executives and government leaders to develop mental fitness excellence and to create innovative approaches to building thriving cultures and organizations. A lifelong learner and explorer, Joshua has studied under Himalayan yoga masters, Ivy League professors, and the humblest of British bartenders.

Joshua has assisted three-star generals in combating ISIS, outmaneuvered malign influence in Eastern Europe, developed leadership courses for US diplomats, and has helped to create nearly one million American jobs though advocacy and investment deals. Joshua Burke currently serves his nation as a United States Diplomat and as a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer. He has started several charities and has served on the boards of numerous nonprofit organizations.

He and his wife, Anca, are still dating after nearly two decades of marriage. They have two exceptionally forgiving daughters and a hunting dog. An adventurer at heart, he has swum from Asia to Europe, trekked in the Andes, and sailed much of the Mediterranean. Joshua has also struggled to find balance with emotional wellbeing throughout much of his adult life—until recently. The chapter herein shares his journey of learning to surf the waves of life.
