Maurice Williams, affectionately known as "Mr. Purpose," is the founder of Born with Purpose, an organization dedicated to leading people to discover their purpose while inspiring others to do the same. Maurice graduated from Morehouse College with a B.A. in Sociology and returned to Philadelphia with an unwavering determination to mentor, lead, guide, and love his city.

Rooted in the power of God, Maurice believes that with Him, all things are possible. Maurice's commitment to community empowerment and individual transformation led him to establish Ball With Purpose, a basketball and character school that impacts and develops youth aged 8-19 in and around Philadelphia. The mission to develop leaders on and off the court. His leadership and vision have also facilitated partnerships with national programs and organizations such as Mighty Writers, Dream Academy, After School All Stars, The Salvation Army and more, resulting in transformational programs that empower youth to live peaceful, productive and purposeful lives. Beyond providing sports mentoring and enrichment based programs, Maurice is an electrifying and engaging speaker that has graced many stages both in person and virtually. His authenticity, storytelling abilities, and passion are often noted as why he is a speaker that can connect with anyone regardless of age, race and background.

As a devoted husband and father of one, Maurice is committed to being the example of manhood the world and his family deserve to see. He is also a published author of "Leila's Dreams," a children’s book named after his daughter, where they explore all of the aspirations she lived out in her dreams. The book touches on the importance of how parents inspire and motivate their children to be their best. Maurice has received numerous awards and accolades, but he insists that the greatest reward is witnessing someone make a positive change. His dedication to making a lasting impact has earned him the title of "Mr. Purpose," as he strives to create a better world through his tireless efforts in community building and youth development.
